Meet the Kraft Girls
My name is Paula Gilarde, and I have been scrapbooking for over 6 years – what started as a simple wedding album has turned into a full-blown obsession. I started with paper and discovered digital scrapbooking about three years ago. I still switch back and forth between the two depending on my mood! I usually scrap 12×12 and my style tends towards clean and simple. I’m happily married and have two children Molly, 6 and Tommy, 4 who provide me with endless inspiration for my pages. I’ve been published in Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, BHG Scrapbooks Etc, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends and various other scrapbooking idea books. I’m thrilled to have been named a winner of the 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame.
Jenn Emch
Hello! My name is Jennifer Emch and I’m completely flattered to have been chosen as a Kraft Girl Kit Design Team member. I have been married to my college sweetheart Eddie for 17 years and we have two amazing sons, Zachary (11) and Connor (8). We live in Northeast Ohio, just west of Cleveland and I’ve been addicted to this hobby since I picked it up just after Zachary was born. I love the concept that not only does it document the day to day lives of my family, but it serves as a creative outlet for me as well…not to mention the friendships I’ve made along the way.
Rita Oliverio
Hi! My name is Rita and I live in beautiful Oregon with my husband Tony and our three very energetic children. I am a stay-at-home mom to Nicholas {9}, Logan {4} and Ashley {almost 2}. I first started scrapbooking in 2000 after the birth of my oldest son. In 2005 I discovered the online scrapbooking community and kit clubs and that is when my passion for scrapbooking really developed. Scrapbooking is my creative therapy and a way for me to record those everyday moments that might otherwise be lost between the never-ending piles of laundry and dishes. In addition to scrapbooking, I also enjoy reading, photography and volunteering for our school district. I am honored to be chosen for the Kraft Girl Kits Design Team!
Michelle Whitlow
My name is Michelle Whitlow and I live in southern GA with my husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. I’m a former financial analyst turned SAHM and I’m loving every minute of it! I attended my first scrapbook class when my daughter was just 3 weeks old and over 7 years later I’m hooked!! I love this hobby that allows me to not only create scrapbook pages for my family but also document our lives for ourselves and future generations. Most of my pages are created around my family and our everyday events. My style is always evolving but it tends to be more neat and clean as I don’t like all of the “extras” on a page to take away from the pictures and journaling. You’ll usually find me scrapping into the wee hours of the night when the house is quiet. But during the school year I manage to sneak in some time during the day, too. My hope is that years from now my family will enjoy the pages I’ve created just as much (if not more) as they do today.
Kari Ann Sweeney
My name is Kari Ann Sweeney. I live in Central Wisconsin with my husband Nick, and our two daughters. Bennet, 3 1/2 and Scout, 22 months. I work outside the home full time in Business Development/Sales. I have been scrapbooking since 1995. Back when the only options were construction paper and puffy paint. I tend to leaning towards a linear style with a clean, crisp, simple look. I’m a stickler for having the photo be the focus of a layout along with handwritten journaling. There is something intrinsically selfish about scrap booking that I just love. It’s such a rush of warmth when you give someone a gift that you made and seeing how it makes the recipient feel. Or looking back at a layout years later and having that ‘Ah- remember that’ moment. I feel so honored to be part of creative team at Kraft Girl Kits.
Sarah de Guzman
Hi, my name is Sarah. I live in the sunny (most of the time) state of California. Scrapbooking has always been a part of my life since my high school days, but it has recently become an everyday activity (aka. addiction)! On top of being a hobby, it helps me relax and relieve my stress. Besides, the best part about scrapping is there is no right or wrong way to do it, so I can never make a mistake at something I love! If I’m not scrapbooking, I’m probably shopping for scrap supplies or enjoying the fresh air at the beach. I don’t have any children, but I have two pets — Maui, a white Miniature Schnauzer, and Hilo, a parti Miniature Schnauzer. If I’m not scrapping my family or my friends, I’m scrapping my “kids”.
Christyn Holmes
Hi, I’m Christyn and I’ve been scrapbooking since I was a little girl, thanks to my grandfather who kept scrapbooks throughout his life and I now have his books along with my own. I discovered my first LSS in 1996, and a new love affair was born, no longer would photos be smashed together with ticket stubs and playbills on construction paper (*gasp*). I have enjoyed watching the industry grow and blossom. I’m inspired by the photos of the people I love, I am an aunt to 5 nephews and 1 niece and proud mama to a 4 yr old border collie, they all keep me on my toes. I also have an obsession with scrapbook supplies, especially kraft and bling. Some people call me the raccoon because I get easily distracted by shiny, sparkly things. My scrapbook style is all about layers, I love to mix and match different elements.I am also the queen of fussy cutting, my pointy scissors and xacto knife are never far away. When not scrapping you can find me at work as an administrator in a large charter school or letting the ‘virtual me’ take over and surfing the internet. I’m super excited to part of the Kraft Girls team and look forward using the kits in new and exciting ways.
