Aren’t they great?  I know from the sneak peek of the kit, it looks back to school, but this really is a versatile kit…I can’t wait to show it to you!

Ready for some sneaks?

August 26th, 2009

Hi everyone!  This is Rita and I have some sneaks of the amazing September kit Pam put together for us!  Don’t be fooled, this kit isn’t just for back-to-school.  The bold patterns and vibrant colors are perfect for late summer photos.

August’s Sketch Contest

August 24th, 2009

Hey everyone, Jenn here! I just wanted to remind everyone about the August sketch contest.  I gave it a go and here is what I came up with:

farm market findThis was a great sketch for using the leftover strips of patterned paper from this month’s kit! But I also included some embellishments from past Kraft Girl kits. Those are the Prima crystals and Maya Road stick pins from July’s kit and the adorable crocheted flower is from May’s kit.  See, this sketch is perfect for the little bits and pieces you have saved!

You have until August 31st to e-mail your layout to Pam to be eligible.  Plenty of time to whip something up! Remember to post it in our new flickr gallery so we can check it out too!

Strut Your Stuff

August 21st, 2009

Ok so by now you’ve ‘heard’ us promoting the awesome flickr group…and prompting you to join. Kudos to you that already have, I know sometimes learning something new can be intimidating, but I promise this is super easy…really I had my pages up and loaded in the group in less than 5 minutes.

Ok so I may have a little head start, because I already had a flickr account and had loaded a couple of things before. But even if you don’t have a flickr account, it’s still an easy process. Double easy for my fellow mac friends (there’s an upload function right in iPhoto). Windows friends will have to upload from the website or download an application that will allow you to upload from your machine.

Let pretend we’re going to upload directly from flickr, simply login and then choose the ‘Upload Photos’ from your photostream page. If for some reason you’re not on the photostream page, just click on the ‘YOU’ tab and you’ll get to where you’re going.

Select the upload photos and video link and you’ll can choose files from your computer.  Easy enough.

Next step…join the cool kids group…aka the Kraft Girls Kitgroup.  Click on the link to the left or search for Kraft Girls and you’ll find it. (a side note: there are lots of cool groups out there…try searching for your camera type, favorite manufacturer or even types of photos). Now select the ‘Join Group’ link.  Easy Peasy. Now you can see all of the scrappy goodness the DT and other fab scrappers have put in the group this month. It’s a great way to get inspired throughout the month, not just on reveal day.  Most of the DT has added projects that haven’t appeared on the blog. You can always get to the group by selecting it from your groups tab.

flickr-ss2-join-groupBut we don’t want you to just  join, oh no, we want to see your stuff so we can leave you some love and show the scrapping world that we have the best kit club with the most creative subscribers.  So the last step is to add your photos, the good news is this is really easy since our photos are already on flickr.

Choose Add Photos link and you’ll be taken to a screen where all of your photostream show up. Just click on the photo you want to add to the group, you can do up to 6 at a time…how cool is that.  Then hit the ‘Add to group’ button.

flickr-3-add-to-groupSee, easy right! I bet it took you almost as long to read this post than it would to add your layouts to the group…so what are you waiting for…Post, ladies, post.
