Hi there – it’s Paula with a project that I did with the September kit. As soon as I opened the kit and saw these chipboard shapes I knew I wanted to make some kind of hanging item — I ended up with a name plate for my son Tommy’s door. I think the colors and patterns work well for a boy’s room. Plus that Jenni Bowlin paper even has the word Tom in it!

A few tips: I layered two of the Jillibean Soup ribbons to make the hanging part more interesting. I used both the outer parts of the stars and the inner parts. I backed the outline parts with patterned paper to add more contrast. I love how the mix of circles and stars look together. And best of all, Tommy loves it!

love it!
Quick question, was the winner for the sketch challenge announced already?
Nope, the sketch contest runs through September 30th:)
I love that Paula! I really want to make a little doorhanger for Kieran’s room too…the colors in the kit are perfect for a little boy:)
LOVE it!!!
