September inspiration

September 24th, 2009

Hi there – it’s Paula with a project that I did with the September kit. As soon as I opened the kit and saw these chipboard shapes I knew I wanted to make some kind of hanging item — I ended up with a name plate for my son Tommy’s door. I think the colors and patterns work well for a boy’s room. Plus that Jenni Bowlin paper even has the word Tom in it!

A few tips: I layered two of the Jillibean Soup ribbons to make the hanging part more interesting. I used both the outer parts of the stars and the inner parts. I backed the outline parts with patterned paper to add more contrast. I love how the mix of circles and stars look together. And best of all, Tommy loves it!
