Hi everyone! This is Rita and I have my last KGK post to share with you today. I have truly loved working with Pam and the kits and will miss receiving those wonderful goodies every month. I just want to wish her all the best!
I loved September’s kit! It is so perfectly coordinated and very, very versatile! My favorite project this month was my school project display:

My second oldest, Logan, started pre-school this month and this is getting lots of use at our house! I just wanted to share some tips as to how I put this together.
The board is 3/4″D x 28″W x 4″H. I wanted it to hang flush on the wall, so my husband carefully drilled two small holes in the back about 1/4″ deep. He hammered in some heavy-duty staples for the screws to catch on. This was the hardest part of the project and I left it to him
I used black semi-gloss spray paint to paint the board black and then let it dry for several hours.
For my stars, I used two of the negative images from the smaller size, one negative image from the larger size, and both larger positive images. I choose my patterned papers and covered the stars and sanded the edges. For the negative images, I traced the circles onto the 12×12 piece of chipboard that came in my package to keep the papers flat and covered them with the Jenni Bowlin Vintage Black Bookprint patterned paper to make the final product sturdier. I then adhered the negative images to the circles covered in the Jenni Bowlin Vintage Black Bookprint patterned paper.
I had to go to several different stores to find the right clips to use for this project. Mine are slightly larger than one inch. I couldn’t find any that weren’t magnetic at our local hardware stores, so I used those but it’s not necessary. If you use magnetic ones, just be sure the magnet doesn’t cover the hole for the screw. The drill didn’t like trying to drill through the magnet so I had to keep searching
The three stars with the clips are screwed directly to the board. For the other two stars, I used a hot glue gun. I think Mod Podge would also work quite well.
I hope you enjoyed these tips! It was a fun, and relatively painless, project to make!

I loved this project of yours. Such a great idea!!
Rita, this is such a cool project! Thanks for sharing the directions!
