Card making tip!

August 3rd, 2009

Hi there, it’s Paula here with a card making tip this Monday. I’ve only recently gotten into card making but I’m finding them a lot of fun, and a great way to use up those scraps from layouts I’ve made with my kit. I’ve also figured out that I can usually make 3 good sized cards from one sheet of 12×12 and I’m going to share that tip with you today. First I cut my 12×12 paper (I used the kraft that came with the kit) down to 8.5×12. From that portion I can make two A2 sized cards (4.25×5.5) with a little piece left-over. I like that size because it’s easy to find envelopes of that size in any office-supply store. After that cut you are left with a 3.5×12 strip. It might seem like a strange size but folded over, it becomes a very manageable 3.5×6 — this is what I made here:

happybirddayI couldn’t resist using that birdie and of course, the bad pun!! I hope to see some cards that you made with the kit — you can post them in our flickr gallery: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kraftgirlkits

Pam will be posting the winner of the giveaway tomorrow morning!!
